I give private lessons on the viol and also run viol consort coaching sessions. I teach viol consorts on courses: Alston Hall, near Preston, the North West Early Music Forum Summer School at Ambleside, the NORVIS Summer School in Durham and occasional weekend courses, especially for Liverpool University Department of Continuing Education courses on the Isle of Man.
I teach renaissance and baroque dance on day courses and at the above summer schools. I am often asked to choreograph dances for specific music, for example Purcell's Dido and Aeneas or the Florentine Intermedii of 1589; or to help actors in period plays with their movements.
Currently I am teaching recorder in three schools and am much in demand for Tudor workshops.
